How to Manage Pocketsflow Subscriptions With Claude Prompts
You manage Pocketsflow subscriptions with Claude by connecting Claude to Pocketsflow's MCP server and asking in plain words: "pause Jane's subscription", "who failed to renew this week?", "what is my MRR?". Pocketsflow gives Claude 19 tools for subscription offers, seats and retention, and each prompt below names the tools Claude calls.
Connect Claude to Pocketsflow
Pocketsflow's MCP server works on Claude's free plan, which allows one custom connector. The setup takes a minute.
- On claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, open Customize, then Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Pocketsflow and paste
https://www.pocketsflow.com/mcp. Click Add, then Connect. - Sign in to Pocketsflow and click Allow access.
- Ask: "List my Pocketsflow subscription offers."
Pocketsflow creates an API key named "MCP: Claude" for the connection. Delete it under Developers, then API keys, to disconnect. Connect while your dashboard is in test mode to practice with no real money. The full walkthrough is in how to connect Claude to Pocketsflow.

Create a Pocketsflow subscription offer from Claude
Pocketsflow's create_subscription_offer takes a name, a price in US dollars, a frequency (weekly, monthly or yearly) and an optional trial in days. Selling subscriptions needs no paid plan.
Try: "Create a Pocketsflow subscription called Pro Templates, $19 a month, with a 7 day free trial, and show me the offer before you save it."
Pocketsflow also supports paid trials. Ask for "$1 for 7 days, then $19 a month" and Claude sends a trial price with the trial days. The Pocketsflow docs set the rules: the trial price is at least $1.00 and lower than the regular price, a paid trial lasts 1 to 365 days, and an offer has one trial, free or paid. A paid trial's payment counts in revenue but not in MRR, and a trial can't be combined with intro pricing.
Pause, resume and cancel Pocketsflow subscribers
Pocketsflow's subscriber tools act on one subscriber, so Claude first finds the person with list_subscription_customers, which filters by buyer email, offer and status such as trialing, active or past due. These are paying subscribers, not newsletter subscribers.
pause_subscriptionstops collecting payments. The buyer keeps access and is not charged until you resume. If the payment processor refuses the pause, nothing changes.resume_subscriptionrestarts payments on a paused subscription, or undoes a cancellation that has not taken effect yet.cancel_subscriptioncancels at the end of the current period. The buyer keeps access until then, the same as canceling from the subscriber portal.
Try: "Find jane@example.com in my Pocketsflow subscribers, tell me her plan and last payment, then pause her subscription. Ask me before you pause." Claude calls list_subscription_customers, then get_subscription_customer for her payments, then pause_subscription after you say yes.
Change seats on a Pocketsflow per-seat plan
Pocketsflow's update_subscription_seats sets a subscriber's seat count on a per-seat offer, which is part of usage pricing on the Pro plan ($119 a month as of November 2026). The change applies at once. Seats above the number bought at checkout are charged at the end of the period, prorated for the time they were held. Going below the seats bought at checkout is refused. For metered pricing and seats in depth, read usage based billing for SaaS.
Check Pocketsflow MRR and failed renewals
Pocketsflow's get_mrr returns MRR with new, expansion, contraction and churned MRR, churn, average revenue per user, lifetime value and trial conversions, with one row per offer. The MRR report is on the Pro plan.
Pocketsflow's list_at_risk_subscriptions lists subscriptions with a failed renewal, newest first, and get_recovery_summary shows recovered revenue and what is at risk right now. Both read on every plan. Turning failed payment recovery on with update_recovery_settings needs Pro: you choose whether Pocketsflow emails the buyer a link to update the card, and what happens after the last retry fails (cancel, pause or keep).
Try: "Every Monday, list my Pocketsflow renewals that failed last week, with the buyer, the offer and the amount, and tell me how many were recovered."
What Pocketsflow subscribers bring in after fees
Pocketsflow charges 4.7% + $0.30 on each renewal as of November 2026, with payment processing included and no monthly fee to sell. The chart shows a $19 monthly subscription: what you bill each month and what you keep, before tax.
| Point | Billed each month | You keep |
|---|---|---|
| 10 subs | $190 | $178.10 |
| 50 subs | $950 | $890.50 |
| 100 subs | $1,900 | $1,781 |
| 250 subs | $4,750 | $4,452.50 |
| 500 subs | $9,500 | $8,905 |
Source: Pocketsflow pricing (www.pocketsflow.com/pricing), 4.7% + $0.30 per payment, November 2026. Before tax.
Each $19 renewal leaves $17.81. With 100 subscribers you keep $1,781 a month, and with 500 you keep $8,905. Ask Claude "how much did subscription renewals bring in last month?" and it uses list_payments with the subscription type.
Set up Pocketsflow cancellation save offers
Pocketsflow's save offers appear when a subscriber starts to cancel: a pause for a few months or a discount for a few months. Claude reads them with list_retention_offers and changes one offer with update_retention_offer, which needs Pro. The same tool sets an intro price and a switch to yearly offer. get_save_offers_report shows how many buyers were saved, how many canceled and the reasons they gave. For the strategy behind these offers, read how to reduce membership churn.
What stays in the Pocketsflow dashboard
Pocketsflow keeps money movement out of Claude. Refunding a payment, withdrawing your balance and changing bank details happen in the Pocketsflow dashboard. Payouts are read only over MCP. Claude cannot charge a buyer or change a buyer's card: card updates go through the secure link Pocketsflow emails the buyer. Every change Claude makes, such as a pause or a new offer, shows in the dashboard like a change you made yourself.
