Create your store and your first product

Sign up free, pick your store name (it becomes yourname.pocketsflow.com) and add a product. An ebook, a template, a preset pack, a course, a coaching call or a membership all go through the same checkout.

Upload the file or write the lessons, add a cover and a short description, and set a price. There is no monthly fee to sell, so a store with no sales costs nothing.

  • A product name that says what the buyer gets
  • A cover image and one or two preview images
  • A price in US dollars (buyers see it in their own currency)
  • Your file, course or booking link

Price it for buyers everywhere

Set one price in dollars. A buyer in the US, the UK or Nigeria sees it in their own currency at checkout, and their VAT, GST or sales tax is added on top. A buyer in Nigeria pays 7.5% VAT; Pocketsflow, as Merchant of Record, collects it and files it, so it never comes out of your share.

Want a lower price at home than abroad? Fair prices by country (Growth plan) set a discount for buyers in the countries you choose, so a local buyer can afford it while a buyer in London pays full price.

Verify your identity

In the dashboard, open Payouts and start identity verification. Live payouts wait for it, so do it before your launch, not after your first sale.

Use your legal name exactly as it appears on your ID and on your bank account. A mismatch is the most common reason a payout is held.

  • A government photo ID, as the verification screen asks
  • Your home address
  • A phone you can receive a code on
  • If you sell as a company: its registered name and details

Add where you get paid

Once you are verified, add a bank account in Nigeria or a crypto wallet. Your payout country decides the currency you are paid in and the bank details the form asks for (the table below).

New sales sit in a pending balance for a short holding period that covers refunds and disputes, then become available. Withdraw daily, weekly, monthly or when you ask, and every payout comes with a receipt for your records.

Share your link and make your first sale

Your store and every product have a link you can put in your bio, a WhatsApp status, a post or an email. Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the sale shows up in your dashboard with its fee and tax broken down.

Run a test before you announce it: a 100% discount code lets you buy your own product and see exactly what a buyer receives.

Where a $20 sale’s money goes.

One sale, start to finish. The buyer’s tax is added on top of your price and never counted as your earnings; the fee is the only thing taken from your share.

  • 01

    WhatsApp first

Post the product link in your status and your channel, and keep a broadcast list of past buyers. A link that opens a checkout converts better than “DM to buy”.

  • 02

    Sell to the diaspora

Nigerians in the UK, the US and Canada pay in pounds and dollars, with their own tax added at checkout. Price for them, then use fair prices by country for buyers at home.

  • 03

    X and TikTok threads

Teach one useful thing from the product in a thread or a short video, and end with the link. The product sells the rest.

Tax, in plain words.

On the buyer's side there is nothing to do: Pocketsflow is the Merchant of Record, so the VAT a buyer in Nigeria pays (7.5%), and the tax of every other country, is collected and filed by us.

What you earn is your income. Declare it as business income in Nigeria, and keep your payout receipts and the order export from the dashboard for your accountant.

This is general information, not tax advice. How Pocketsflow handles buyer tax is in the Merchant of Record page.

Questions creators in Nigeria ask.

Do I need a Stripe or PayPal account to sell from Nigeria?

No. Pocketsflow takes the payment, handles the tax and pays you through its payouts provider. You verify your identity once, then withdraw to a Nigerian bank account or a crypto wallet.

Can buyers abroad pay me?

Yes. Buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in their own currency, with their country's tax added at checkout. Pocketsflow collects and files that tax as Merchant of Record.

What does it cost?

No monthly fee to sell. Each sale costs 4.7% + $0.30, card processing and tax handling included, so a $20 sale leaves you $18.76 before any refund or dispute.

Why was my payout held?

Live payouts wait for identity verification. The usual causes of a hold are a name that differs between your ID and your bank account, or a request for more information; the Payouts page shows exactly what is needed.

Can I sell in naira to buyers in Nigeria?

You set one price in dollars and buyers see it in their own currency at checkout. For a cheaper price at home, fair prices by country (Growth plan) give buyers in Nigeria a discount you choose.
