How to Create a Discount and an Upsell on Pocketsflow With AI
You create a discount and an upsell on Pocketsflow with AI by connecting Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor to Pocketsflow's MCP server and asking: "make LAUNCH20 for 20% off my course until Sunday, and offer my $9 cheat sheet as an order bump". The AI calls create_discount and create_upsell, and both show up in your Pocketsflow dashboard and on your checkout.
Discount codes work on every Pocketsflow plan, the free one included. Upsells are part of the Growth plan, $49 a month as of November 2026.

How to create a Pocketsflow discount code with AI
- Create a free Pocketsflow account, or sign in to the one you sell with.
- Add
https://www.pocketsflow.com/mcpto Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP app as a connector, sign in to Pocketsflow and click Allow access. Pocketsflow creates an API key named "MCP: <app>" for the connection. - Ask: "Make LAUNCH20 for 20% off my editing course, ending Sunday at midnight." The AI finds the product, then calls
create_discount. - Check the code in the dashboard or ask the AI to read it back.
A Pocketsflow discount is a percentage or a fixed amount. A percentage cannot go above 100. The code applies only to the products and subscriptions you list, only while it is active and not expired.
What a Pocketsflow discount costs you
Pocketsflow's fee is 4.7% + $0.30 per sale as of November 2026, taken from what the buyer pays. So a discount lowers the fee too. The chart shows a $49.00 product at four discounts.

At full price you keep $46.40. At 10% off the buyer pays $44.10 and you keep $41.73. At 20% off you keep $37.06, and at 30% off you keep $32.39. A 20% code has to bring in more sales than it gives away; for when that pays off, read should you discount your online course.
How to create a Pocketsflow upsell with AI
- Check your plan: ask "Can I use upsells on my Pocketsflow plan?" The AI reads your entitlements first.
- Ask: "Offer my cheat sheet for $9 to everyone who buys the editing course. Show $19 crossed out."
- The AI calls
create_upsellwith the course as the main product, the cheat sheet as the offer, the special price and the compare at price. - Open the course checkout and check the bump: one tick adds it to the same order.
Pocketsflow shows every active upsell as an order bump on the checkout. You can set the headline, the description and the button text, or ask the AI to write them. On a plan below Growth, Pocketsflow answers with an upgrade message and the AI tells you; it does not retry.
What a Pocketsflow order bump adds
Pocketsflow adds the bump to the same order, so the fixed part of the fee is paid once. On the $49.00 product, a $9.00 bump adds $8.57 to what you keep: the order goes from $46.40 to $54.97 after the fee. The upsells list in your dashboard shows the orders and revenue each offer adds, and the AI can read it with list_upsells.
