Stan Store Fees Explained: What Stan Really Costs per Sale (2026)
Stan Store charges $29 a month on the Creator plan or $99 a month on Creator Pro, takes no transaction fee, and passes on Stripe or PayPal processing of 2.9% + $0.30 per card sale. Because the monthly fee is flat, a creator selling $250 a month pays 15.7% of revenue in fees on Stan Creator, and 5.9% on Pocketsflow, which charges 4.7% + $0.30 per sale with no monthly fee.
Every Stan Store fee in one table
These are Stan's own numbers from its pricing guide, and Stripe's from its pricing page, both read November 4, 2026.

At $500 a month, Stan Creator costs $49.50 (9.9%) and Pocketsflow $29.50 (5.9%). At $5,000 a month the order flips: Stan costs $234 (4.7%) and Pocketsflow $295 (5.9%). For $25 sales to US buyers, the two cost the same at about $1,610 a month on the monthly Creator plan, and about $1,390 if you pay Stan yearly ($25 a month).
Stan Creator vs Creator Pro: when the $99 plan is needed
Stan's Creator plan covers the storefront, booking, courses, subscriptions, a community and Stan AutoDM. Discount codes, upsells and order bumps, affiliates, email broadcasts and flows, Afterpay and Klarna, and pixel tracking all need Creator Pro at $99 a month. On Pro, the point where Stan costs less than Pocketsflow moves up to about $5,500 a month for the same $25 product. On Pocketsflow, discount codes are on every plan, including Free; ad pixels start on Starter ($15 a month); and upsells, order bumps and affiliates are on Growth ($49 a month). Compared fairly, Stan Creator Pro against Pocketsflow Growth, the two cost the same at about $2,780 a month for a $25 product, and Stan costs less above that.
Buyers outside the US cost more on Stan Store
Stripe adds 1.5% for international cards and 1% more when the currency is converted, and Stan passes that on. If half your buyers are outside the US, Stan Creator at $1,000 a month costs $77.50 instead of $70, before any currency conversion. Pocketsflow charges the same 4.7% + $0.30 wherever the buyer is: $59 on the same month.
The fee Stan Store does not show: sales tax and VAT
Stan's pricing guide lists no sales tax or VAT handling, so the tax on your sales is yours to register for, collect and file. That matters as soon as you sell to buyers in the EU, the UK or US states with digital product tax. Pocketsflow is the merchant of record: it adds the right tax at checkout, files and pays it, and handles chargebacks, all inside the 4.7% + $0.30.
How to work out your own Stan Store fees
- Take your last month of sales on Stan and the number of orders.
- Add your plan: $29 for Creator or $99 for Creator Pro ($25 or $79 a month on yearly billing).
- Add 2.9% of sales plus $0.30 per order for card processing, and 1.5% more on sales to buyers outside the US.
- Divide the total by your sales to get your real rate.
- Or enter your price and monthly sales in the fee calculator, which does the same sum for Stan, Pocketsflow, Gumroad, Payhip and Lemon Squeezy.
When Stan Store is the better deal
Stan Store costs less once you sell well above the break-even point above, mostly to US buyers, and you are fine handling sales tax yourself. Stan also suits coaches who want booking and Instagram AutoDM in the same tool. Pocketsflow costs less while you are growing, when many buyers are abroad, and when you want tax handled for you.
